PhotoTravel takes us on a Photographic Trip to Vietnam, one of the countries that best represents the essence of this area of the world. A place that, despite its turbulent history, has managed to keep a good part of its culture and ancient traditions intact.

International flight to Hanoi, Vietnam.
Night on board
Arrive in Hanoi, the elegant capital of Vietnam. Check-in at the hotel. Once settled, we will move to the Old Quarter of Hanoi for a photo-gastronomic tour where we can discover the world of food and local life in Hanoi. A tour of the city in which we will combine street photography with the tasting of the delicate flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the morning visiting Hanoi, stopping to photograph some of its most emblematic places. At lunchtime, we will visit some of its exquisite local restaurants. A good meal and a well-deserved rest will replenish our strength to face an exciting afternoon in the city, where we will continue to explore its historical relics and where we can enjoy a bike tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. At sunset, we will transfer to the railway station to take the night train that will take us to Lao Cai.

Early in the morning, we will arrive at Lao Cai Station, where we will transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast. Next, we will head to one of the markets in the area to photograph the local ethnic groups. After the visit to the Lao Cai market, we will consider heading to Sapa, where we will visit the local villages near Cat Cat, a magnificent place to portray ethnic minorities and enjoy their warm hospitality.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by car to Lao chai, a mountainous area of stunning natural beauty and home to diverse ethnic minorities. There we will make a small trek through the valley, which will take us to visit the village of Lao chai of the Black H’mong and the village of Ta Van where the Zay ethnic group lives. Descending the hill, we enjoy the fantastic open views in Ban Ho, a beautiful valley where we spend the night in a local house of the Tay ethnic group.

After breakfast we will walk to Red Dzao (Nam Toong village), from there we will visit other villages in the mountain range, where we will be able to photograph the Xa Pho ethnic group in Nam Keeng. We will continue on our way to Mi Son where we will visit the Xa Pho again. We will have a picnic lunch along the way, and then we will visit Thanh Phu, where we will end the day photographing its picturesque bridge, and from there we will return to Sapa, where we will stay in a hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Fansipan Mountain, the cable car and its spectacular view from the highest mountain in Southeast Asia In the afternoon we return to Hanoi by road.

Breakfast at the hotel. Soon we will leave in the direction of Ninh Binh. There we will visit Hoa Lu, where the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh are located. We will continue on our way to Tam Coc, a mountainous area of karst formation and caves crossed by the Ngo Dong River. We will take a rowboat to navigate the river between the limestone mountains shaped by the river, discovering ancient temples on our way and exploring its magnificent grotto. There will also be time to cycle a short distance and visit the Bich Dong cave. Finally, after lunch, we will visit Mua Cave, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the countryside and the Ngo Dong River.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we are going to visit Halong Bay, a dreamlike landscape, made up of about three thousand limestone islands scattered throughout the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Without a doubt, one of the most impressive landscapes in Vietnam. We will embark on a typical junk to get to know the area, which will take us to visit a photogenic fishing village. We will spend the night installed in the comfortable cabins of our boat. Accommodation at Barco A.D
Today we will have breakfast with a breathtaking view over the sea. A small rowboat awaits us that will take us, through a cave, to the heart of one of the islands, where we can swim while enjoying this idyllic place. Around noon we will return to Tuan Chau port. From there we will transfer back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we go on an excursion to the city of Incense, an explosion of color that will delight photographers.

Today we will spend the day walking the streets of Hanoi, enjoying its rich gastronomy and doing the last shopping.
