After the entry procedures into the country, we take our van and go to Grundarfjördur (220km) where we will have the opportunity to photograph the famous Kirkjufell volcano, at night if we are lucky we will be able to see our first Northern Lights.

Today we get up early to photograph the Kirkjufell sunrise and then after breakfast we head to the Golden Circle (230km) visiting the Bruarfossd waterfall and if the weather or weather allows it we go to the famous Geysir, one of the most famous points in Iceland, a hot spring water jet that gives its name to all the geysers in the world, we will visit Gullfoss, a spectacular double waterfall with a drop of 32m.

At night, weather permitting, we will go out in search of the Northern Lights.

We continue our photographic trip to Iceland where more surprises await us!, so we set off on the road (135km) to first witness the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss, a wonder… and then the best known, the Skógafoss waterfall, 25 meters wide and 60 meters high! … right next door we have our Hotel.. A magical place.

In the afternoon depending on the weather, we will see the old abandoned military plane and hopefully we can photograph it with an aurora borealis!.. very difficult but if you don’t try the photos don’t come out by themselves.

Waking up in our wonderful Hotel in Skogar and having in front of you the Skógafoss Waterfall, is priceless! We take our Minibus and head to the black sand beaches of Reynisfjara and contemplate the cave of Hálsanefshellir whose walls are formed by basalt columns. We will have lunch in the beautiful village of Vik and in the afternoon we will head to Kirkjubæjarklaustu where we will sleep without first visiting the Fagrifoss waterfall and the Fjaorargljufur canyon. And like every day, pay attention to the Northern Lights!.

Today is a very full day, we get up early again and head to Höfn (220km). Our first stop is in the Skaftafell National Park where we will visit the Svartifoss waterfall, framed between hexagonal basalt columns. The road is spectacular dotted with numerous tongues of the great Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe, to end at Lake Jökulsárlón that will surprise us with its numerous icebergs, which break off from the tongue of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier in its lake and on the black sand beaches, known as the “Diamond beach”, we spend the night in the small village of Höfn

Today we visit possibly one of the most impressive areas of Iceland, the volcanic beach of Stokksnes, we will enjoy every corner of this wonderful place. We will be very attentive in case we can see any aurora. In the afternoon return to Selfoss.
