After the success of our last expedition, at PhotoTravel we are back from a Photo Tour to Bangladesh. In this new adventure we will be at the Rakher Upobash Festival!, a delight. Come and get to know with us one of the least touristy countries in the area, but with a photographic potential of such diversity that it will make you take pictures all the time: the hustle and bustle of the streets and markets, the impressive landscapes, the tribal groups… all the essence of Asia in front of your lens.
Flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Night on board.
Arrival at Dhaka Airport. There we will be greeted by the local PhotoTravel team in Bangladesh. Transfer to the hotel. After settling into the hotel and after lunch, we will visit the city. It will be our first photographic contact with the country and its people. Overnight at Hotel Dhaka A.D.
After breakfast we will go out to photograph the city. We will explore the Shakhari Bazar area and its narrow and busy streets, Islampur Market, the largest fabric market in the country, and visit the famous Pink, Ahsan Mazil Palace. To end the morning, nothing better than a few photographs at the Chawk Bazaar, the largest wholesale market in the city. After lunch we will return to Dhaka, where we will embark on a small cruise on Lake Hatirjheel. Another different point of view to see the city that will delight us, especially at sunset.

Early in the morning we take a boat to Barisal, we will enjoy touring its streets, markings and port.

Private boat tour through the canals of Barisal, we will be in the floating market and live the life of its canals.

Early in the morning we will arrive at the port of Dhaka, and after a well-deserved rest we will go out to photograph the city. We will explore the Shakhari Bazar area and its narrow and busy streets, the Islampur market, the largest fabric market in the country. To end the morning, nothing better than a few photographs at the Chawk Bazaar, the largest wholesale market in the city. After lunch we go to one of the great highlights of this Photographic Trip to Bangladesh, we will witness the Rakher Upobash Festival!!

After breakfast, we go to the Dhaka Kamalapur train station where we will take the Sónar Bangla Express that will take us to Chittagong, a city located in the eastern part of the country, near the border with Burma. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit Kumira, where we will be able to photograph its huge shipyard dedicated to shipbreaking. We will travel it by boat, so we can take spectacular photographs.

Today we will move to Bandarban, a special place that has the most natural attraction in Bangladesh, impressive forests and that offers the opportunity to get to know some of the more than fifteen tribal groups in the region up close.

Today we will dedicate the day to learn about and photograph the way of life and customs of the tribal peoples of the area. We will first move to Faruk Para, where we will spend a few hours with the Bawm, one of the oldest and least numerous ethnic groups in Bangladesh. After lunch we will visit the Mru (Murong), a subgroup of the Chin people who practice the Buddhist religion. Before sunset we will return to the city, where we will have dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast a short walk will take us to the hill of Nilachal, of fascinating natural scenic beauty, and from where we will contemplate the wonderful views of the city. We will descend the hill to go to Hatiabandha, the only place where the indigenous Tripura, anthropologically descendants of the Mongols, live. We will return to the city, where we will have lunch, and head to Chittagong. From here we will take the internal flight to Dhaka and late at night, return flight.
Night on board.
First thing in the morning we will arrive in our hometown, the end of our Bangladesh Photo Tour.

If the group is between 8 and 9 people there is a supplement of 200€.
If the group is between 6 and 7 people there is a supplement of 250€.
