One more year… we are going on a Photographic Trip to Morocco, to the Sahara Desert and it is already our 22nd Edition!!.. a classic within PhotoTravel’s photographic trips. In this new edition we will spend two nights in the Sahara Desert, Merzouga, where we will travel the dunes on our camels and in 4×4 a Tour around the Desert tongue. In this new adventure we will work on the different aspects of Travel Photography, both technical and artistic, we will talk about the equipment, composition, portraiture. We will put all the theory into practice day by day and in this way we will be able to establish the knowledge to continue advancing on a solid basis.
After the customs formalities, transfer to the Hotel, check in.
Lunch in a delicious Moroccan restaurant, we prepare the equipment and first departure through the medina of Marrakech and Jamaà el Fna square.
Night in Hotel. Bed and breakfast.
After breakfast we leave for Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Gorges crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m), in the High Atlas Mountains. From Marrakech to Ouarzazate, we will see breathtaking landscapes and visit Berber villages. We will first arrive at the fortified village of “Ait Benhaddou” declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1986. We will cross the river to photograph the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou up close. After lunch we will cross the Valley of Roses and the palm grove of Skoura until we reach the Dades Gorges where we will spend the night.

We set off in the direction of the first languages of the Sahara desert crossing the Dades valley and the route of the Thousand Kasbahs that runs through numerous Berber villages. We will arrive at Tinghir after about 45 kms where we will stop to see its palm grove; we continue our journey until we reach the Todra gorges. We will have lunch on the way to Merzouga, and soon we will see the camp of Erg Chebbi in the distance. At the foot of the giant dunes we will enjoy a camel ride until we reach our haima, we will have the opportunity to photograph a beautiful sunset and sleep under the stars for whoever wishes.
Overnight in Haima in the Sahara Desert, half board.
Before dawn we will get up to enjoy the sunrise from the top of the great dune. Return by camel to the Erg Chebbi camp. Breakfast at the Hostel and today we will enjoy the Sahara Desert and all its surroundings, visiting in our 4×4 the villages, mines, nomads on the same track of the old Paris-Dakar, and other surprises that hide every corner of this wonderful place…
Night at the Sahara Desert Hostel, half board.
We start the return, after breakfast we leave for Ouarzazate, visiting one of the famous palm groves of the Draa Valley, where we spend the night in a small village in the middle of the palm grove.

Today we return to Marrakech where in the afternoon we will visit the medina of Marrakech visit to tanneries, souk and Jamaà el Fna square, where we can do the last shopping.
Overnight in Hotel, Bed and breakfast.
Hotel pick-up and transfer to the airport.
