Once again we return to the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the heart of Africa, a destination that will meet the expectations of all those who love ethnographic photography and adventures.
A PhotoTravel expedition that will take us to a country practically virgin in terms of tourism and with enormous potential in photography, since it preserves almost intact its ancient culture and many of its traditions.
An exciting adventure in which we can visit some areas where external influences have hardly arrived.
It will be an unforgettable cultural immersion trip in one of the countries with the greatest cultural richness, but less known, where you can take the best of the photographs.
A dream trip and four reasons why you will opt for a trip within the reach of very few agencies in the world.

A day focused on having a first contact with the Sapeurs.

In Gungu we will be received by the spiritual head of the community, and together with him we will be able to attend a magical dance, a form of worship to their ancestors so that they can grant them success in their daily lives. The Pende maintain ancestor worship, whose spirits are appeased through rituals and offerings. They believe that spirits can be good or bad depending on the way they died, and they can cause harm and harm to families. To neutralize this damage it will be necessary to resort to a doctor-soothsayer – Shaman – who determines the origin of the evil and determines the best way to placate the spirit that caused it. We will spend the day living with them and photographing their customs and their daily life.
Night in Camp.
Our adventure continues and first thing in the morning, we leave for Tshikapa in the Kasai region, Tshikapa is known for being one of the cities of diamond sales and for being the starting point to the Kuba Kingdom.

Night in Camp
It’s time to enter the heart of the Kuba kingdom, in Mushengue, a place of incredible landscapes, and villages that treasure the vestiges of the ancient cultures of the area. There we will have the privilege of attending the ceremony of the awakening of the spirits of the ancient Kings. A show of music, color and magic that, without a doubt, will make our pulse and our camera vibrate.
Night in Camp
Still in Mushengue, we will dedicate the day to photographing their magical dances, one of the most deeply rooted traditions of the Kuba kingdom. There will also be time to visit some of the most iconic places in the area: the tombs of the ancient kings, the sacred grove and the Kuba art museum. An interesting day in which the immersion in the Kuba culture will allow us to know and photograph their exciting way of life. Night in Camp
