PhotoTravel continues to open new routes, we are going on a Photographic Trip to Canada and its Rocky Mountains, this time we are going together with the friends and colleagues of Himal Mountain Travel, a luxury and a guarantee to go with them, since they are experienced mountaineers and know every corner of this impressive country, they have already done it on several occasions and it has been a great success!, Canada and its Rocky Mountains are one of the most attractive areas in the world of photography for both its landscapes and its fauna. Our Photographic Trip to Canada we have decided to do it in comfortable Motorhomes, as it gives us the opportunity to photograph without haste and taking advantage of the light at will. We will walk among forests and lakes discovering the best frames where spring with its snow in the mountains, plethoric forests, rivers and waterfalls full of water, half-thawed lakes and hungry animals after a harsh winter make life in the Rocky Mountains a unique experience.

We leave from Madrid with a stopover to Calgary. Arrival in the early afternoon. They will be waiting for us to take us to the hotel and rest while we regularize our jet lag. Hotel Accommodation
Breakfast. First thing in the morning we pick up the campervans and go to the supermarket to load food, drinks and everything we need for our Photo Trip to Canada. We head north through beautiful fields of tall grass where the famous Marlboro spots were filmed. The mountains are already nearby. Arriving in Banff we will take a detour to go up to Lake Minnewanka. In its vicinity there is usually a herd of mountain goats and it is possible to see some red deer typical of this area. Accommodation in the Motorhomes.
At the agreed time we go to the A1 road. The route takes us to the Jhonston Canyon. We will take a walking tour of this beautiful gorge looking for the best photos. We continue our route through immense forests to reach Lake Louise. We will have time to climb up at dusk to Lake Morraine, possibly the most photographed lake in Canada. Night in a Motorhome
Today those who want to walk will go up to Lake Agnes. The road to this beautiful lake surrounded by mountains and forests will show us the true nature of the Rocky Mountains. 400 meters of elevation gain and 8 km of route. In the afternoon we continue our route to reach the Ice Field. We will sleep in the Motorhomes very close to the Glacier.
We can see the sunrise as the light bathes snow-capped Mount Athabasca. Then we will walk to the glacier and we will be able to see the retreat of the ice over the last decades. We continue north visiting the Sunwapta and Athabasca waterfalls. We arrive at the village of Jasper and overnight in Motorhomes.
If the weather is good we will go up in the Jasper Sky Tram cable car to see the immensity of the forests. On the way back we will turn off to Field. Here the train track spirals to overcome the steep slope. If we are lucky we will see the train pass by with its more than 100 cars that crosses Canada from East to West. Night in a motorhome.
“I always wanted to visit the Canadian Rockies but I couldn’t find a trip that convinced me. In the end I went with Himal Mountain in campervans. The tours, hikes and the places where we slept were spectacular. Thanks to Pepe and his team for showing me the wilderness of Canada.” Ruben Ríos.
Today we will go up to the Emerald Lake and we will be able to go around it on foot looking for the best photos among trees with the “emerald” color of its waters. On the way back we will enter Banff to visit this village, a living history of the harshness of the territory.
In the morning we will be able to do the last shopping before heading to Calgary leaving behind a few days of nature in the Canadian Rockies. Accommodation in a motorhome.
Delivery of vehicles, transfer to the airport and return flight. Night on board
